In August 2000, Daniel and his wife Whitney moved from Texas to Illinois to serve as youth pastor at Bethany Baptist Church. In 2008, Bethany Baptist planted Bethany Community Church, where Daniel has served as teaching pastor since the church began.
Daniel completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Dallas in 1999 and majored in Literary Studies and Historical Studies. In 2004, he earned his Master's of Divinity from Moody Bible Institute. He finished his Doctorate of Ministry in Expository Preaching at Southern Seminary in May of 2011.
Daniel loves Bethany Community Church and the privilege of serving as the teaching pastor and seeing people grow in their love for the Lord and one another. One of his great joys is seeing the church prepare men for pastoral ministry and sending out men and women to the mission field. He also loves seeing other local churches in central Illinois grow and thrive. He is the author of A Passion for the Fatherless, a book designed to help the church engage in God-centered orphan care ministry.
Daniel and Whitney, have four children and one son-in-law: Parker and Hannah Hoffman, Austin, Noah, and Ellie. In addition to pastoral work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and running.
